Dragon,Bat and Xi

 

Where on the earth this virus came from? 

a bat?

 minks?

 pangolins? 

frozen meat?

 an ice-cream container? 

a wet market? 

or 

a bio lab?

Wait, wait, wait! You might be wondering : "Eh! Is this question even relevant? "

Let me narrate you a tale! 

Not more than 19 years ago,to be precise,it was in 2002. There was an initial outbreak of SARS in China. It spread worldwide within a few months, although it was quickly contained. SARS is a virus transmitted through droplets that enter the air when someone with the disease coughs, sneezes or talks. No transmission has occurred since 2004.

And then,it literally DISAPPEARED! Yes, you heard it right!

Few paid heed following to disappearance of SARS after initial outbreak in 2002.

After 5 years later, in 2007, scientists studying corona viruses warned : "The presence of a large reservoir of SARS-cov-like viruses in horseshoe bats ....  is a time bomb. The possibility of remergence of SARS and other novel viruses ..... should not be ignored."

These are not my words, these are the exact words of CHENG VCC,LAU SKP,WOO PCY and YUEN KY conveyed to the world in 2007(pre Xi Era). 

Even, Bill Gates delivered his ted talk "The next outbreak? We're not ready " six years ago, which was just like another ted talk to us until and unless the virus broke out. 

In December 2014, the then most powerful man in this planet, the then president of U. S. ,Barack Obama  stated : "There may and likely will come a time when we have an airborne disease that is deadly.So that if and when a new strain of flu like the Spanish flu corps up, FIVE years from now or a decade from now, we've made the investment. "

And you know what after exactly FIVE years, covid-19 has hit the world. 

I am not sure about the investment.

Here we are, with over 176 million covid cases and over 3 million deaths around the globe. And it has been possible due to outbreak of the deadliest respiratory disease pandemic since 1918.

We need to understand what actually  happened,so that we can prevent it from happening again and be better prepared to contain similar pandemics at their outsets. 

Every detail regarding outbreak of covid-19 is crucial and relevant to head towards a safer future. It has nothing to do with racism or a country being held responsible for the crisis. 

But the bigger picture is that : " Is your, mine and ours future safer to another such outbreak? "

With Covid-19 crisis passing away steadily, there is no guarantee that there will be no new outbreak. And another time our goal should be to atleast speak with confidence that:

 The next outbreak!

We are damn ready. 

However, this is not possible without knowing the origin of covid-19.

 A clear and transparent investigation has to be done regarding the origin.The investigations conducted so far has been translucent to a large extent, where you get to know something and miss something.All investigations have not delivered justice to the world which is suffering from covid-19 and till now it has not known it's origin. 

Chinese scientists have collected 80,000 samples of 30 different species of animals to find out the animal who spilled this zoonotic disease to humans.And till now they have found zero positive results.So,the question persists where on the earth this virus came from? 

Regarding lab leak theory, the theory was rejected too early. The Dragon clearly did not want it's image to be spoiled globally. World Health Organization (W. H. O.)  was among the first to dismiss any such possibility.  Other scientific brains also stopped thinking over it when a famous general medical journal "The Lancet" ended any further scientific debate over it by publishing it's not a man-made virus or a lab leak. 

While, all these things were taking place, even before the covid-19 exploded globally, there were quiet a few early whistleblowers in the medical authority of China which were silenced forcefully by the higher authorities. 

Dr.  SHI ZHENGLI stated that the covid-19 virus was 96.2% similar to the virus they were studying at lab.

And what a coincidence it is!  The Wuhan Institute of Virology is just 6 km away from the Huanan seafood market. Yes it is the same wet market from where the first covid-19 case was found, atleast this is what China says. 

Xi Jinping,the president of the People's Republic of China since 2013,along with the Wolf Warriors has firmly looked after the global image of China. China's soft power is increasing day by day. Be it's distribution of Xinopharm(the Chinese vaccine) to countries facing harsh pandemic or financing various projects in countries facing economic crisis.

How helpful and good China seems!  Right? 

Well ,if correct information regarding covid-19 was told early in December 2019 we would have contained this virus and of course this global pandemic would never be in horizon. And everyone is aware regarding Dragon's Debt Trap. 

John F. Kennedy said it well, rather I would say observed it well : "The Chinese use two strokes to write the word 'crisis'. One brush stroke stands for danger; the other for opportunity. In a crisis, be aware of the danger-but recognize the opportunity."

I am not sure about other but Mr. Xi has recognized the opportunity in this global crisis.From starting clashes in border with it's neighbor India to showing the might of Chinese navy in South China Sea, it is clear the crisis has been turned well into an opportunity to quench it's thirst of being an  expansionist state. 

And if that was not enough China is all set to become the world super power by 2050 leaving U. S.  behind. 

Not many countries have the mettle to ask China some tough questions and if some countries do so, the Wolf-Warriors are ready to hunt in a pack.

China also have found out a silver bullet to all the questions asked to it regarding covid-19. They simply replace "question" word with "allegations and theories" and  simply state that all these 'allegations and theories' are spread by Western Nations. 

There is a high possibility that while studying corona viruses in Wuhan Institute of Virology, the virus might have been leaked if not  willingly, accidentally! 

It can be natural as well but 80,000 samples from 30 different species of animals and zero positive says a lot about it. 

All of it has happened so far and you know What's the irony !

We do not know the origin of virus 

And, 

That's 荒谬的 !
